Yang Style

Twenty-four Form

The Eighteen Movement, Chen Essence Form

Taiji (or Tai Chi) originated in the Chen village of Henan Province. Over the centuries, innumerable versions of Taiji have proliferated, but the Chen Style is currently enjoying a rebirth worldwide.

This "Essence Form" distills many of the movements common to the diverse forms of Taiji. On this instructional DVD, each movement is first performed in a natural setting, then in a mirrored studio with detailed spoken instruction, then repeated in slow motion with on-screen prompts, to insure that you may acquire both the inner and the outer benefits of Taiji.

Additional sections address Silk Reeling (like a "binary code" of Taiji), and essential Warm-up Exercises, all accompanied by music that enhances your practice.
